With more than 500,000 visitors recorded, a Malaysia Book of Records award for being the “Largest Light and Motion Festival”, and among the highest viral rate in Perbadanan Putrajaya’s social networking sites for a Putrajaya based event, LAMPU 2014 certainly was a phenomenal event of the year and continued to be in 2015.

Aimed to rewrite history, Putrajaya will shine with glitz and glamor for the third time consecutively since 2013 as one of the most significant international events.

Light And Motion Putrajaya 2016 or better known as LAMPU, brings yet another exciting array of attractions for visitors young and old. This year, prepare to be amazed as LAMPU 2016 showcases grand Projection Mapping onto the facades of Palace of Justice as well as the grand entrance of Masjid Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. Other highlights include several comebacks of last year’s most anticipated, which are Garden Lighting, Free Standing Light Structures and Decorative Arch. Also, be sure to join the forum with exciting topics that is open to all.

Putrajaya city, a member of the Lighting Urban Community International (LUCI) association, is the only city in Malaysia that have introduced a modern lighting administration facility or better known as Putrajaya Lighting Master Plan.



In complementing the festival, there are also participation from light art communities and university students in Malaysia showcasing their creativity through 3R Light Structure, a competition to spark interest of the young generation to venture into lighting industries all while preserving nature by using recycled materials to create lighted structures.

LAMPU 2016 will be a public and family oriented event. Through the use of light, a dramatic and artistic dimension, LAMPU 2016 shall see the gatherings of urban lighting communities, local and international industry players, manufacturing giants, professionals, art lovers, not to mention drawing attention to the photography industries, tourists as well as the mass public.

As a LUCI member, LAMPU strives to introduce high-tech light designs, interactive light related activities and energy efficient lighthing materials such as the ever innovative LED lighting technology, in which countless innovations and dramatic energy savings will be realized in the years to come.

Putrajaya aimed to be the light industrial hub in the near future exposing and bringing the latest lighting technologies to Malaysia hence becoming the global spotlight. LAMPU definitely lives up to its title giving a real and exhilarating experience of light.
